PopMatters posted a nice review of our CMJ Thrill Jockey/No Quarter showcase @ the Annex. It was great getting to share the stage with everyone else.

We will begin our fall tour tonight at the Talking Head in Baltimore with our buds Arbouretum!! Also on the bill will be the most excellent Psychic Paramount and Sri Aurobindo.
In the meantime, read and excellent Review of Arbouretum & Pontiak - Kale Split LP at Aural States, and also the fine review Kale received from the Baltimore City Paper.

Hoping to see all of you on the road. And one last BIG news piece - Thrill Jockey records will be re-releasing our 2007 album Sun on Sun this coming Tuesday September 9!!

New songs, new album, Friendstival

We have a new album coming - Kale, a 12 inch split with our good buddies Arbouretum - it will be released next week on Thrill Jockey records! Very exciting. Also, we have a preview of some of our songs on Kale posted over at our Pontiak Myspace site you can listen to. And here are some pics from our Friendstival.

Tours, Thrill Jockey, Kale, More Albums

As you can see, our site is undergoing some changes - awesome changes mostly. Thank you for visiting. There are some news worthy items while you are here:

First, we have signed to Thrill Jockey Records!!!!! It is a good family and we are happy to be with them. We will be releasing a 12″ split with Arbouretum in July titled Kale. The release will be available on vinyl.

Secondly, TJ will be releasing SUN ON SUN later in the summer.

Third, we are heading out on tour with Wye Oak this June. This is very awesome. Dates are available on our myspace page - a link is right above this post.
